Qlik launches new data visualisation app
Qlik introduced Qlik Sense, device-independent, self-service visualisation and discovery app at the Visualize Your World event held in Mumbai today.
“The problem with self-service BI has always been that you either get rich BI capability with weak usability, or a very approachable product with limited analysis capability. Qlik Sense is the first product of its kind in the data visualisation market. It is built on the second generation of our patented associative data indexing engine, with a rich, modern visualisation front-end that is intuitive, yet powerful,” said Arthur Lee, Vice President, Product Management, Qlik.
Qlik Sense has been designed with the notion that every knowledge worker can rapidly create visually rich analytics from any device to explore theories, prove hypothesis, or discover new trends that can change the trajectory of their business.
“As an existing Qlik customer, we have been very impressed with Qlik Sense so far and are pleased to see this new product in their data discovery portfolio. For us, it is critical to accelerate the delivery of actionable analytics to the right people at the right time.
There is great potential for an organisation to deploy Qlik Sense self-service visualization alongside QlikView for its guided analytics capabilities,” said Richard Desouza, Head of IT at Mahindra & Mahindra.
