With the world moving towards a remote working model, the world of cybersecurity has assumed greater significance. The concept of a perimeter is no longer relevant today, as every end point or service can be compromised.
To help enterprises better protect themselves, Express Computer partnered with cybersecurity specialist, Rubrik to host a CISO leaders roundtable on ‘Best practices to ensure proactive cybersecurity posture’. Rubrik’s Country Manager India, Ritesh Gupta, discussed why a new approach to cybersecurity is needed with some of the most eminent CISOs from India Inc.
The CISOs discussed their key challenges with respect to ransomware attacks, data recovery and compliance. Some of the CISOs also highlighted the key areas where current traditional enterprise security vendors were lacking.

He said that Rubrik acted as a true data fabric that worked as an integrated platform to manage data regardless of its location. The platform brings a number of capabilities to data and databases stored in a hybrid cloud and also to those stored fully off-premises. “We have features that enable enterprises to efficiently store structured and unstructured data sets on-premises or in the cloud, with features including search and recovery for single files, indexing, and metadata capture and orchestration,” emphasized Ritesh.

The roundtable was extremely interactive and focused on real world problems and use cases, to help CIOs and CISOs deal with current and emerging threats.
