Samsung Electronics launched Galaxy Note 3 the latest update to the Note product line. Note 3 has been priced at Rs. 49,900, while the Galaxy Gear has been priced at Rs. 22,990.
It comes with 5.7 inch display, lighter hardware design and a long lasting battery (3200mAH).
Equipped with 13 mp rear camera with smart stabilization the phone enables users to capture images in a low light situation. It has 3GB RAM.
Coming as the most expensive and high-end phone phone, Note 3 has advanced S Pen which will not only enable user to make note on phone but also give access to various applications.
“The Galaxy Note 3 represents the whole next evolution of the Galaxy Note experience. It meets the needs of customers for a smarter larger screen, makes everyday life easier with the S pen and is much slimmer, lighter, powerful with a new design,” Samsung Country Head (Mobile & IT) Vineet Taneja said.
Note 3 would be available in 3G version in India. The Gear would be compatible with most of the Samsung Galaxy devises and the 10.1 tablet which the company would launch in October, Samsung Mobile Director Manu Sharma said.
Note 3 would have improved version of ‘Find My Mobile’ feature which will allow user to disable the phone when it is stolen or lost.
The new mobile has KNOX, an enhanced privacy and security protection. Users can activate Samsung KNOX which allows them to run and store security sensitive applications and data inside protected execution system called container. Users can also store enterprise applications and data such as corporate email, contacts and calender and allow the IT department to mange the container through Exchange ActiveSync Server. “It would allow users to remotely track or erase the data from their lost or stolen Note 3 phone making it an ideal device for BYOD”, Taneja said.
The phone will be available in jet black, classic white, and blush pink color options. Samsung has incorporated a 13 megapixel rear camera in its Note series product.
The Galaxy Gear, which has a 1.6-inch screen and weighs 2.6 ounces, has a 1.9 megapixel camera embedded in the strap and a built-in speaker that allows users to conduct hands-free calls. Besides photos and hands-free calls, it can perform functions like instant messaging.
Samsung will make available both Note 3 and Gear in 100 stores in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore from today.
