Presto, a value-added distributor that specializes in offering solutions based on various emerging technologies to government and enterprise customers, has commissioned the TeleJustice Project in Bihar, Maharashtra, Punjab, UP and Haryana to the tune of Rs. 7 crores and it hopes to garner Rs. 15 crores in this fiscal from its government initiative and projects.
The company distributes a variety of networking and security products including video conferencing solutions from Polycom which is primarily being used in the TeleJustice system.
The TeleJustice system comprises of a Polycom AV ( Audio-Video) Conferencing solution that connects the Judge in the court with the undertrial in the jail cell in real time. The sessions are recorded documenting them for later use. According to Presto, RoI on the system occurs in three months. The Central Government has approved Rs. 1,000 crores for this project.
