Enterprise Data Services provider Tulip Telecom has earned the TL 9000 – V R5.0/R4.5 certification from Tüv Süd America Inc. for ‘Quality Management System’ for all of its major facilities located at Mumbai and New Delhi. The scope of this quality management system includes design, provisioning and management of bandwidth services and customer support services.
TL 9000 is the telecommunications industry’s extension to ISO: 9001 and formalizes quality management systems to improve reliability and reduce costs throughout the supply chain. Included in TL9000 are performance and cost-based metrics that measure reliability and quality performance of the products and services. Created and continually improved by the QuEST Forum (a global communications association comprising of the world’s top industry service providers and suppliers, dedicated to continually improving standards in the telecommunications industry), TL 9000 has become a globally accepted quality standard, with almost 2,000 supplier locations registered worldwide (approximately 34% in the Americas region, 59% Asia Pacific and 7% EMEA – Europe, Middle East & Africa).
