VMware, Inc has announced the appointment of Redington as its National Value Added Distributor for India. Redington will distribute VMware products through its distribution network across the country, which will help VMware tap new markets and customers while it expands its presence in India.
Ganesan Arumugam, Director, Partners, VMware India, said, “We are witnessing a rapid growth in the adoption of virtualization and cloud computing solutions in India and rely on a strong partner network to help us reach and tap new markets. This partnership will help us leverage Redington’s extensive reach and strong capabilities to strengthen our presence in India.”
Under the agreement, VMware and Redington will conduct training and enablement programs, run go-to-market activities and educate partners to help them successfully deliver VMware virtualization and cloud solutions in the region.

VMware entered India in 2004. With offices in 8 cities, VMware employs over 1,500 people across India. The company recently announced the opening of its second R&D center in India in Pune.
