We Founder Circle (WFC), an early-stage startup investment platform led by a global community of successful founders and strategic angels, has successfully facilitated Investor and Startup Mixers in seven cities of Tamil Nadu within a week. WFC’s mission is to see the next wave of startups from India’s Tier 2 and 3 cities representing the real Bharat. WFC is motivated to empower and encourage entrepreneurship in these cities, alongside making startup investments an asset-class investment tool in India.
The mixer that began with Chennai on 6th October aimed at spreading awareness and diving deeper into the entire journey of strengthening startups. The same was followed by an investor meet in Vellore on the same day, which helped founders and investors unwind in lively conversations and promote the concept of angel investments. The subsequent investor meet and startup mixers were in Salem, Erode on the 7th (Investor Meet), Coimbatore on the 8th (Investor Meet), Coimbatore on the 9th (Startup Mixer), Tirupur on the 9th (Investor Meet), Trichy on 10th (Investor Meet) and Madurai on 11th (Investor Meet). The total number of investors who attended the event is 50+ in Salem/Erode, 50+ in Coimbatore, 30+ in Tirupur, 40+ in Trichy, and 30+ in Madurai. The total number of startups that participated were 50+ in Chennai (at IITM), and 100+ in Coimbatore (at KGISL).
“This is WFC’s yet another initiative to offer early opportunities for startups based in Tier 2 and 3 cities to broaden their network and meet like-minded peers who could be the right catalyst for their growth. The idea is also to assist the founders to develop their entrepreneurial ambitions, connect them with the larger investor and startup community and help them break from the monotony and usual stressful routine.
