PM Narendra Modi’s followers on Twitter have crossed 15 million mark, making him second most followed politician worldwide and third most followed Indian on Twitter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s followers on Twitter crossed 15 million mark this September, making him the second most followed politician worldwide after US President Barack Obama and third most-followed Indian account after Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
PM Narendra Modi came on micro-blogging site on January 10, 2009 and has been using his Twitter account actively, especially after the Lok Sabha elections to connect with people across the world, including politicians and corporate leaders.
In the past 12 months, his account has been followed by around 8.8 million users – recording the largest increase in the number of followers in a 12-month period for an Indian account.
The tweet PM Modi posted after Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha victory remains till date the most shared tweet for India with 75,420 retweets.
PM Narendra Modi has added nearly 370,000 followers on his birthday, which was on September 17.
