Yes Bank chooses Microsoft SharePoint for process automation and enhanced communication

Yes Bank, today announced that it has chosen Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to automate 150 processes, get real-time business intelligence and to make it easier for people to work together. Yes Bank intends to further leverage SharePoint innovatively creating a true two-way collaboration platform across multiple devices.

Yes Bank wanted to automate processes to reduce turnaround time for its customers, improve efficiency and make real-time business intelligence available for its employees. The bank evaluated multiple platforms with three key criteria – ease of use, consistent user experience and faster time to market. SharePoint 2010 fitted well for the given set of requirements and enabled YES Bank to increase efficiency, reduce turnaround time and help serve customers better. A quick deployment put the automation process on a fast track, and gradually 150 processes was made live on SharePoint, which were previously either manual or semi-automated.

By deploying SharePoint, Yes Bank has reaped the following business benefits of reduction in turnaround time by 40%, decision making speed up by 70% and faster on-boarding of employees. SharePoint has enabled the creation of individual discussion forums and personal blogs, helping build a strong knowledge base. Real time intelligence is another benefit which the bank has experienced with the use of Microsoft SharePoint.
