Zomato has tied up with Paytm for online delivery payments and launched a new tech suite for restaurants as well
Zomato has tied up with Paytm for online delivery payments. The restaurant look-up and food-ordering app also launched a new ‘Whitelabel’ Platform, a new technology suite for restaurants to launch custom-branded native mobile apps and operate online.
Zomato Order and Zomato users can now pay for online orders via their Paytm Wallet. Zomato also allows users to pay via credit/debit cards, netbanking, and cash on delivery.
“Food ordering is a prime use case for Paytm Wallet users, and the association with Zomato will be great for our users. This is in sync with our mission of moving towards a cashless environment in India,” said Amit Lakhotia, Vice President, Paytm.
With Whitelabel, Zomato offers restaurants features like push notifications, real-time information and menu management, and marketing tools to merchants at their fingertips. The app is based on a subscription model that bundles Zomato’s existing restaurant management app – Zomato For Business – into each subscription for free.
Apps created via Whitelabel can integrate seamlessly into all the ancillary services Zomato offers, such as Online Ordering, Table Reservations, in-app Cashless payments, Loyalty programs. Earlier Zomato announced that it had made ‘strategic’ investments in two hyper-local delivery companies — Pickingo and Grab.
Zomato has also tied up with Delhivery, logistics start-up which is used by many offline and online retailers. While earlier the restaurants were handling all the logistics of delivering the food order made on Zomato, all of this will now change with the new tie-ups.
