+ We do have a disaster recovery strategy but that actually is a data center that keeps an active backup of all our data
+ For six months our Chennai site plays as an active data center while for the next six months the other site takes up the charge. This is a strategy we follow to avoid downtime during natural calamities or disasters

+ We at Aravind try to have our IT staff as closer as possible to the office so we save on time and cost in times of disaster
+ After we moved to Cloud we faced a scenario when the internet was completely blocked in Toothukudi. So as a preparedness strategy we moved to NPLS to ensure our systems keep running even if the internet is not available
[3] Arvind Sivaramakrishnan, CIO, Karkinos Healthcare:
+ The first part in the process is ‘don’t panic’, which is easier said than done. Secondly, we need to have all the critical areas in sight to ensure the response and recovery strategy is effectively deputed
+ One should never take anything for granted and question every process to know the level of preparedness for unprecedented times
